Cybil Locket - Poison Ring

  • Width: 1/2"
  • Height : 1/2"

A novel idea - a ring with a secret compartment. Back in the sixteenth century, they were called poison rings because you could keep a tiny bit of poison in the ring without it being detected. If you were captured and did not want to live through your fate, you would commit suicide by taking the poison inside the ring. Then as the ring evolved, it began to be used to carry perfume, locks of hair, etc. replacing the practice of wearing keepsakes and other items in pouches around the neck. This Sterling Silver ring comes in 2 sizes (7 and 8) with an ornate design on the top as well as the sides of the ring. Measuring approx 1/2" by 1/2" on the outside with a well size of 3/8" by 3/8" and depth of approx. 1/8" The ring snaps closed to keep your secret safe!
